Tuesday 12th (August)
Bright and early, I had on my travelling dress to start home.
About seven the coach stopped and we were all seated, after bidding all good bye
we started. Dined at Dayton. Had arrived coach to Dayton, 23 passengers, only . . . of which came down to the city. Father met us rather cool which made me feel very
bad. I found sickness at home as usual.
Serena is probably traveling home with little brother
Albert, but we don’t know who else may be with them. Albert has been badly
neglected if there is no one else in their party.
